BioMart lets you select genome regions with interesting features, exclude others, and download tables or sequences of the selection set. See the BioMart home, www.biomart.org, for more about this biology/genome data mining system.

For instance, select the regions with gene predictions, but lacking model organism gene homologs, to find putative new genes.

Using MartView
After choosing a DATASET above, select some FILTERS on the next page and then which data you want to EXPORT from the OUTPUT page. At any stage the COUNT button will calculate the number of entries you can expect in the final output.
